Completely understandable fear. The unknown of the beast that is T rearing it ugly head to a more volatile level makes it harder for me too relax and to carry on with a sense of normalcy. I hope your are well despite what you are going through @CRGC ? One day at a time is how I am doing it or trying to :).

@Strawberryblonde Exactly. I'm doing OK with some stable days, but I feel like this is as good as it well get sometimes and that I'll never be carefree again. But as you say, one day at a time <3

@CRGC Whenever I start to think about it getting worse or not getting better I need to distract myself and literally like tell myself to shut up because the panic that comes after is scary. Try to keep it out of your thoughts as much as possible.

I know the feeling all too well man and still struggle with it. But as times goes on, you’ll start to feel relaxed little by little when you figure out which sounds don’t make your T or H worse. You’ll begin to establish a positive association with these sounds and then coupled with the fact that your ear symptoms will also stabilize(highly probable). Your confidence will slowly grow again. It’s a very long process.

But always remember to carry ear protection with you. If you’re unsure and uncomfortable in certain environments, always plug up. It’s gives you that reassuring feeling too that you’re doing the right thing. That’s all we can do at this point.

Thanks for the kind words @Strawberryblonde @Aschenherz @SamRosemary @ZFire. I'll try and keep these thoughts out of my head although that's easier said then done for me. My custom earplugs have been my best friends for the last 3 months!
