Were you exposed to a loud sound?

Nope, a medical online call with the speaker (computer, not headphones) set at just high enough volume to hear her. 30db or 40db at max.
Finished the call, got in to bed, about to fall asleep whilst t was actually behaving itself (jazz sound) and then out of nowhere almost immediately baseline of all 10 tones jumped 10x in pitch and also in volume.

The crackling in my ear when I swallow is now much more sharper (like glass breaking) and louder. I can understand a tone or two becoming triggered - but a complete higher shift in pitch for all tones and crackling - I have just got no idea what's going on, but feel it'll be the final straw

I had that at the beginning when my T worsened. I think mine may have been due to my amitriptyline withdrawal but not too sure.

@Strawberryblonde - I have had to go cold turkey on both Mirtazapine and Propranolol in the past week - so I am going through a withdrawal. Did yours settle?

I had this as well brother especially the tuning fork thing if I shut my ears completely closed right now it’s slightly still there. Keep fighting, it won’t stay like this forever. Better days will come. From what you are describing about the head pressure and…(.)

@DeanD I did a cold turkey from amitriptyline after 3 plus months. My head felt heavy and tension like and my T could be felt like a buzz in my brain and high pitched. It could well be a withdrawal you are going through. Mine appears to be better than it was 8 months ago. These things go at a snails pace especially antidepressants ect.

@DeanD if you haven't already checked out survivingantidepressants.com. that has threads you can look through and may help you understand a bit better about whats going on. I did that when looking for more answers about my symptoms.

The changing of the pitch, are you experiencing any kind of allergies or sneezing more then usual? Especially crackling sounds like un-equalized pressure might be at play

A sudden huge increase like this can't last long.

    Ride it out.

@Sammy0225 - never been an allergy sufferer, and no more sneezing than usual. I think all the tones, palinacousis and now huge ramp are all med related. Wish I never started taking them. Worst decision.

@Jupiterman - desperately trying but the volume increased again. It's now above voices. Just can't stem it. Has to be the meds as I am living remotely and quietly.
