Sounds like it would be exactly like a white noise generator with optional sounds being outputted?

My idea of sound therapy is that "sound therapy" is a nonsense term. It's a known fact that no matter how much/what kind of sound you bombard the ears with, it doesn't cure anything. Not even hyperacusis, no paper proves that. It just prevents increased noise sensitivity which also is vague and ambiguous for many people here.

All "sound therapy" does, is providing some temporary relief from the symptoms. Same thing as staying occupied with activities to take the mind of the tinnitus. So, in the long run, habituating to the condition.

@DimLeb @Joe Cuber thanks for your response. Mostly I'm just curious what others think. I've been wearing oticon now for almost a year and although I feel the hearing aids (via tinnitus masking) are helpful they are by no means a fix. But I do feel like my T has gotten louder and harder niegh impossible to mask.

When I play call of duty with 2 speakers next to my ears. About a foot or 2 away from each ear. After I’m down playing my tinnitus is extremely calm. And it’s a constant 50dbs for hours and hours. My tinnitus has been getting better.

@Marshall I had to give up the FPS when I went zero headphone use. Just not the same.
