I don't know what E tubes are JurgenG. Don't assume that every loud sound will be harmful. This is negative thinking and you're not really helping yourself. Try not to pay too much attention to sounds. I hope you have stopped using earplugs regularly as they will make your auditory system more sensitive when overused.

Hi Michael, I mean eustachian tubes. I can close and open them, and all of a sudden i had a sharp pain in my ear for a sec when I did it..

I have never experimented opening and closing E tubes and unless you have to, I advise that you don't either. As you know the ear, nose and throat are connected. Unless you know what you're doing you might do more harm than good. Since the pain lasted for a second and you are okay? Leave well alone is my advice and try not to worry.

    All the best

Yeah, I guess it's fine because the pain didn't last for more than a sec. Thanks.

Pain is a warning that what you're doing isn't good. Hope things stay this way....

True, but the pain might be located in the tubes, and not the innerear.

I agree. Perhaps leaving things as they are is the best thing to do.
