Are there any risks with these therapies? And what's the difference between them?
Any success with multi tonal tinnitus?

I think my tinnitus at its highest frequency is 4500 Hz.

Risks are both will empty your purse.

TRT is about learning to habituate that will probably happen anyway naturally in time if it's not severe.

ACRN is about listening to tones below and over your tinnitus frequency over months for 6 hours a day to reduce the volume. Evidence of it working is small.

There are risks with any therapy. I suspect the risk level is low however: none of the research studies I read mention elevated risks for these types of therapies.

If you don't have profound hearing loss around that frequency you are probably a good candidate for ACRN or windowed white noise (or just plain notched therapy).
