Anyone Experience This? Cover Ears -> Low Frequency Tinnitus Increases, High Frequency Tinnitus Not

I have a high frequency and low frequency ringing in my right ear.

When I cover my ears I hear the low frequency tinnitus more strongly. The same is not true with the high frequency ringing. It is the same volume with plugs in or plugs out.

Does anyone else experience this?
Does this have significant in terms of diagnosing the cause?

 

I hear my T louder when covering my ears but I just assumed it's because it blocks any noise from outside that would mask it?
