My tinnitus is mid-moderate and my hyperacusis is severe (housebound), I'm starting a taper off of Ativan and it's already going poorly. I feel like I need help controlling my anxiety and my brain, I'm wary to try more drugs (they've all gone pretty bad for me almost immediately) and I'm also wary of scrambling things in my head further, but Buspirone works very well for my sisters anxiety which has similar characteristics to mine. I'm just terrified of it making my tinnitus and especially my hyperacusis/ear pain worse.

Any experience with worsening tinnitus or hyperacusis with Buspirone? Especially hyperacusis worsening would be bad.

Seriously, so much anxiety around T/H and benzos are bad news, nobody has tried Buspar?

Try taurine 3.2mg. It is supposed to help quieten the tinnitus.
