Can Amitriptyline Cause Tinnitus After a Short Course?

I took Amitriptyline for 2 days for insomnia at a relatively low dose of 25 mg. It didn't help with the insomnia so I quit it but 2 or 3 days later, I noticed tinnitus in my good ear. I've had tinnitus in my bad ear for some time but never in my good. I'm just wondering if this will go away.

The last thing I need right now is more tinnitus. I'm adjusting to a new cochlear implant in my bad ear and trust me, that's enough to be concerned with.

I would be especially appreciative of an experience where this drug did cause tinnitus in someone but it went away in a few days or weeks. Thank you.
