I have different tinnitus sounds that are taking a toll on me, really hard to ignore.
In my left ear I have a low pitch hum that is constant and sometimes it goes high pitch. In my right ear I have static with a super high pitch electrical sound. I have all of that noise all at once! It’s loud, I can almost hear it over everything, and sometimes when it gets so high pitch and loud I get hyperacusis with it, to where even typing on my phone hurts my ears.

Does anyone else have more than one sound?

I’ve always wondered how it is so high pitch and loud and how it isn’t hurting me!

Yes, and based on what I've read on this forum, it seems to be quite common.

Hi Crystal, yes I have several sounds/tones intertwined together that makes it hard to describe what in the world I am hearing. I can tell the sounds are going very fast if that makes sense. In addition to these sounds, there is one tone I only hear on my right which sounds like an external source sound but it’s not because if I put on ear muffs it’s still there. This is the most difficult thing to deal with and I still have not gotten used to it. People tell me to ignore it and I try but it’s intensity is powerful. I feel like I’m in some type of science fiction nightmare. I hope we can find some type of relief. All my best.

Yea, I’ve got loads of sounds all layered. Like others have said, it’s pretty common.

Maybe one day we will have some kind of relief! I know I try to keep busy, to try not to focus so much on it, but it’s hard. All my best to you also.

Yes. Four different, high, tones in my left ear, at least two in my right, the occasional "visitor" tones, and a white-noise like hissing.

Hey everybody! I just have a quick question. How many people here have multiple tinnitus sounds?

Some people only hear one sound all the time and others hear multiple sounds all the time.

I could use some encouragement to know I'm not the only one on this boat. What sounds do you hear and do you get new sounds? How do you cope or habituate?

I was recently diagnosed with Superior semicircular canal dehiscence syndrome. Luckily, there is surgery for it. However, with all surgeries there are risks.

      Thanks for your time.
