Dizzy

I'm at the point I laugh at some of these problems I have. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. If you can't beat it *shrugs* why not have some fun? But that's completely off topic.

Anyways, I am experiencing dizziness again. It isn't noticed when my head is stabilized. But when I turn my head sharply or lifted up from looking down I get dizzy for a few seconds. Lemme know if any of you experience this.

It goes off and on. Like I mentioned this a few weeks ago and my balance was extremely off. I'd sway and I'd feel dizzy all day. I'd try falling asleep but it felt like I was literally falling. Had a huge sense of false motion. But it died after a few days. A few weeks later, it's back at it again. But only slight.

 

I experienced something similar earlier this year. At the time I thought I had come down with something neurological in nature. I had strange headaches, the dizziness you mentioned, severe fatigue, etc. The dizziness only came on when I made movements with my head. I remember having the same sensation when I would sleep. I went to many doctors, had two MRI's done, and they found nothing. The more I think about it, I'm beginning to think it could have been related to this condition. The problem was that I had no symptoms to link it to my ears except for the popping whenever I swallowed. The doctors said it was normal. I can only imagine where I would be if I had known at the time. Has your condition improved at all? Mine keeps getting worse despite taking many precautions.

 

Is the dizziness lightheadness or room spinning around like a merry-go-round?

 

Never a strong sensation such as room spinning. It was closer to lightheadedness which was made worse with head movement. I also had pressure at the top of the head along with some discomfort in the back. Pain in the temple regions which I'm dealing with now.

 

Could be a number of things. The drs just gave up?

Mine varry sometimes I'm dizzy. I feel heavy in my head. And when I move my head I get even more dizzy. Then it phases out.

But one time I woke up and nearly fell over because I couldn't keep balance. I was swaying and I had that false sense of motion. That lasted like 3 to 4 days.

The other times my world would get dizzy for 3 to 5 min then go away.

Sometimes when I lay my head one way on my pillow, specificly my left side. It makes it get worse. But when I lay on my right it stays stagnant or gets better.

 

Idk if I could equate it to spinning but it felt like the world was moving. I didn't see spinning but it felt like the world was shifting and shifting and shifting...

 

Had two episodes. Each lasted maybe 2 weeks. Never reached a state where I had trouble with balance but it was annoying enough. Hopefully it doesn't occur again this time. Won't be able to cope much longer if the symptoms keep adding on top of each other.

Idk mines range in severity. Sometimes it's violent and sometimes it's mild.

Have the doctors found nothing? Maybe they can at least perscribed something or give you therapy.

 

Check with your doctor if it keeps happening. Good thing is that unlike T, they can treat dizziness and vertigo.

 

I myself have damaged my ears due to noise which could be related. But I don't think it's normal for me to feel short bursts of needle like pain (which is not relate to my Hyperacusis). Idk there are some things that just arent right.

 

Thankfully they can. But sadly I won't go to the doctor for another year. I wrote an entire post about it. "Inconsiderate family and lack of specialist help" essentially my family doesn't give jack squat about my T, H, hearing loss and now this.

 

Doctors found nothing. Sometimes it felt like they didn't even care. I do have issues with my posture so it could be that. I did start seeing a chiro and pt and worked out my problems. I got some relief but don't understand how it gave me some symptoms like severe fatigue and weakness.

I'm also experiencing some weird headaches with my T. Nothing too bad except for some temple pain on both sides. Otherwise my head does feel strange on some occasions. Listening to some music on low volume gives me a mild discomfort. No sharp needle pains but my electric static noise does come with strange zap sensations. Has yours improved since onset in terms of volume? I'm asking because our history with music is basically the same. If you improve, then it gives me hope that I might experience some relief at some point.

Getting T does seem to open a Pandora’s box of other stuff.
Your local dr might be able to help if you can’t see a specialist. They’re usually more sympathetic and helpful than an ENT or other big money kind.

 

I have improved tremendously. My T went from intrusive, louder than everything to a nice pillow soft baseline.

Are you new to Tinnitus?

 

I know the feeling. My ENT and audiologist had no sympathy. It was as if they were in it only for the money.

Ya they usually don't. I find after getting this problem that there is a lack of sympathy in these specialist fields. It seems like they are in it for the money. I personally don't think ENTs should be payed as much as they do since they mainly just end up treating simple things like ear infections.

 

I started to get alarmed by my T 2 weeks ago. This is when it went loud enough to bother me. It has gotten worse since then. Loud hiss in both ears with the electric static noise in the background (head). I've had sleepless nights since then and when I do, I can only sleep 1-2 hours at a time. I always wake up with my T going nuts and not being able to calm down for hours. I would be more optimistic but I've had it for many months now. Probably before you. I noticed something was off in the summer but I completely ignored it because it was easy to tune out. My first real warning was in September when a slight hiss formed in my left ear. Again, no H or any type of discomfort that would cause me concern. It was also like this for the last few years listening to music which pisses me off. I have experienced discomfort with loud noises before. Factory floor, Blue Angels, F1 Racing, even Dunkirk recently. I learned my lesson. Never went again. No issue with music until recently when it all went downhill in a matter of seconds. What I have is not manageable. It sounds more like the extreme cases here but I do not experience any pain which confuses me. I wish we could compare the loudness but it is all subjective.

 

Discomfort can be hyperacusis as well. I saw Dunkirk before all of this. It was stupidly loud for a movie. I get it for reenactment purposes but still *shrugs* it's a movie.

Tbh what helped me when my T was intrusive was teaching myself to not react to Tinnitus negatively. And not focusing on it. I suggest getting perscribed an anti depressant they tend to help. Also try melatonin or Tylenol PM. They work wonders. Try lowering your anxiety as a whole. Drinks a cup of Tea. Take a walk. Anything that just makes you relax.

 

It could be Labrynthitis. I get dizzy feelings some days too. I guess it's just linked to my messed up ears. Prochlorperazine works best for dizziness or vertigo.

I'm a bit late on replying, so I apologize. Being dizzy can happen for many reasons. Allergies, inner ear infections, maybe blood pressure issues, sinus issues, vertigo. It can come and go at times. I at times get dizzy and my body had too many things wrong with it, for me to try to diagnose it.

laughter is the best medicine, I at times laugh at my many horrible issues as well. Unfortunately the horrible things are happening and for me at least...I don't have control over them, so I laugh it off and try to take some of the edge off the problem. I use to get angry and vent and just make myself feel 1000 times worst. I hope you are feeling better, know that we all go through pains in life and his forum is like a family, that looks out for eachother.

This is almost 99% certain BVVP. Go see a therapist that knows epleys maneuver and you should be fine.

 

Sounds like vitamin deficiency b12 or b6. When not enough you can get dizzy or feel off balance @taylorsay

 

The dizziness went away btw. Itll come back sometime later haha
