Does Anyone Have Ear Pain That Doesn’t Stop?

Since the morning I woke up with tinnitus almost 7 weeks ago I’ve had pain in my left ear that hasn’t stopped. It takes me back to being a kid when I used to get ear infections and the pain would be so bad I would cry for a week about it.

I don’t have any sensitivity to noise. I just have a pain that is there all the time. I went to the ER a few weeks ago and the doctor looked in my ear and said it looked red but brushed it off.

Is this normal? Something I’m going to have to deal with forever? I honestly can’t deal.

No. Healthy people don't have constant pain in the ear. Even with T, I don't think ear pain is normal.
If I were in your shoes, I'd discuss it with my doctor (actually I'd see my neurotologist, but you may have another specialist in your address book).

Thank you! I’ll have to call my doctor.

I guess I should’ve asked if it was normal for people with tinnitus haha
