Let's do a drug update on those having tinnitus for one year or more. A drug where their tinnitus was lowered by 25%.

I know that there's many threads on drug treatment, so just asking:

      • The name of a drug that lowered your tinnitus by 25% or more

      • Side effects

      • Please state if your tinnitus is moderate or severe

      • Also before taking the drug was your tinnitus high pitched, a buzz or whatever?

      Cause of Tinnitus:
High frequency hearing loss and lifetime noise exposure
Clonazepam .5mg worked best for me followed by Xanax .25mg. Clonazepam is much longer lasting where Xanax wears off in 4 to 6 hours. Both give me terrible anxiety and depression for days and days after stopping but as long as I take them they work.

I think my tinnitus is moderate to severe and has been matched to 4Khz and sounds a lot like white noise, a pretty steady hiss
