      Tinnitus Since:
      February, 2017
      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Acoustic Trauma
After my acoustic trauma, I immediately began experiencing ear fullness. T began on day 11 after acoustic trauma. I had ear fullness nonstop for a long time, then I had it only in the mornings. Eventually ear fullness went away.

But now, three months after the onset of my T, I have experienced ear fullness two days in a row. I live on a hill. I didn't have ear fullness as I was entering my car at work. I inserted earplugs before I turned on my car. When I removed the earplugs at home (change of elevation of around 500 meters [around one third of a mile]), I had ear fullness.

Is anyone else here experiencing ear fullness that comes and goes like that?

Could this mean that I hurt my ears again? Can anyone see how increasing one's elevation by 500 meters while wearing earplugs could damage one's ear? I don't know what to think...

Earplugs to start up your car?? Hm i have read enough TT for one day I think..

Maybe you pushed some wax deeper with the plugs.

      What plugs do you use?
Noise reduction plugs seem to help me better than foam ones.

When I take out foam plugs I get a rush of sound and myTinnitus spikes
Allowing some sound through with noise reduction plugs at a safe limit works best for me.

      Love glynis

Sonic Defenders are a good choice; I use them, too. I drive two loud V8's!
