      Noise
"For noise-induced tinnitus, which is characterized by a chronic or near-chronic ringing in the ears, Folate (vitamin B9), has been shown to be beneficial."

Note that they recommend Folate in its natural form, L-Methylfolate (5-MTHF). Folic Acid, which is synthetic, is not recommended.

Anyone give this a try? Any improvement?

      Methylfolate
In my case, I took Methylfolate for other reason, but it has worsened my pre-existing tinnitus. It made it 3 times louder than before.

Now, two months after stopping taking it, my blood folic acid levels are still high, which are very hard to lower, and the tinnitus is still very loud.

Noise-induced from a concert, maybe because of ETD too?
I've been taking methylfolate before (for MTHFR mutation) and after my tinnitus showed up and I notice no difference.

Is there any form of Folate or alternative to it with similar benefits that is tinnitus safe?

A functional doctor prescribed me Folate due to other reasons and now I don't know what to do.
