      Tinnitus Since:
      2/26/20
      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Likely loud noise and earbuds
Can anyone who has TMJ tell me if getting a teeth guard made will help get rid of tinnitus or make it better?

I have noticed that I have been waking up with a slight fatigue in jaw and tend to clench my teeth when I am having a bad day with the tinnitus. I also have a supposed blocked frontal sinus on right side but my tinnitus is only on my left.

Getting CAT scan next week and was told TMJ cannot be diagnosed from the scan and only my dentist can determine it.

The current assumption from my ENT and audiologist is that it is noise induced as that I have some high frequency hearing loss but my hearing is overall pretty good for my age, and just bad luck that I have tinnitus from it.

I am starting to think there may be a few things going on causing my problem.

      Maybe wood saw noise
I experience the same thing as you with jaw fatigue and clenching during bad T days.

I haven’t had the TMJ diagnosed or tried the mouth guard. My ENT said it helped her tho
