Those who have sounds change for more than a few days due to a spike or whatever reason, did they go away? Did they stay? Are they bothersome? Did you habituate again? I'm asking because I've had a recent new sound in one of my ears and it's quite bothersome but I can feel myself starting to habituate again, I'm just wondering about other people's experiences. I think mine was caused by wax, which has since been removed (3 days ago) but the sound has stayed up to this point. I know there's been many threads of this nature before but I'm finding it hard getting a definitive answer about long term staying power of new sounds and their bothersome effect on people. Thanks!

@theekarwash I'm in the same boat. Would love to hear some responses. Was pretty much habituated to my T after 7 years. Then boom out of no where a complete new sound.

I've found that my new sound is significantly quieter than it was when I originally made this post, hopefully it's improving!
