      Today I woke up and my "good" ear was aching....could it also now develop hearing loss and
      tinnitus? Its been 6 weeks since the left ear nightmare happened, so why would this happen so long
      afterward? Could it just be a blip and I'm freaking out over nothing?
      sigh....darn T and SSHL and Hyperacusis aren't you satisfied with the left ear?

      Hi @gitupagin ,
      Are you still having problems with your good ear today?

      Yes, I woke up like at 3am and then heard a loud tone in my good ear.
      I am miserable.

      I would suggest you get an audio gram done to see if you have more hearing loss. But I feel like that would discourage you...

      @gitupagin ,
      I have profound deafness in my left ear and excellent hearing in my right ear. I lost the hearing three years ago on the left side. All of my T and H issues are felt and heard in my left ear. Any little twitch or noise in my good ear can make me a bit fearful but so far, there has been no damage there. I am hoping that your good ear can continue being a good ear. Are you going back to your audiologist? Best wishes to you and please keep us posted about your situation.

      The sound hasn't come back, so I'm not so worried anymore.
      Now I am trying to use meditation and reducing stress, it does
      help.

      When you have only one good ear, there's a fine line between healthy monitoring and being over vigilant. It's tricky.

      Yes, I feel that way too. You really walk a fine line some days.

      Best not to stress about things unless they happen. Hoping it's just some weird infection that will go away.

      Strange how these sensations/sounds suddenly come and go. Like a mystery show. I'm the
      reluctant star of a movie I can not leave physically. But there are options to exit mentally.
