      Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has had adverse effects from Artemisia Annua? I have long COVID-19, and I know someone who said he cured his long COVID-19 with it.

But I have read it can be ototoxic.

I have read that many of its issues probably come from the Thujone content. I am going to try a brand whose Thujone content is zero (this is what it says on Amazon anyway). But maybe some of its ototoxic effects come from other parts of it and not just the Thujone. I remember there was a lady on Tinnitus Talk who said her hearing got messed up from it (but not sure of the version she tried, as it can have derivatives). The particular brand I want to try (Nutricost) seems to have very good reviews.

I already have hearing issues, I don't want to get more tinnitus and hearing loss from it.

      What would you advise?

      Cheers.

      I avoid Artemisia.

Tried it a few times for Babesia and it definitely made my tinnitus spike, which settled after I stopped it.

Stephen Buhner (herbalist) says it can cause or exacerbate tinnitus also.

Buhner has a protocol for long COVID-19 on his Facebook profile page.
