Is It Possible to Work with Power Tools?

I teach English to foreigners and find my own voice irritates my right ear, and a 10dB reducing ear helps, but rarely put it in, worry I will start talking too loudly When I talk really loudly it irritates it. Another job I do is gardening and handyman work. How about mowers and other power tools, of course with ear defenders? Just wondering if I should continue the gardening etc

 

There's no reason to stop doing any of this. In fact it's important not to let T defeat you that way..
Get a pair of comfy muffs for when the machines run..

 

I use ear plugs that cover and protect up to 30db and i used them at a loud heavy metal concert in December. I do not see why you cannot use such earplugs and do what you want to do. Also, please wear a mask or something to not inhale particles, when doing such activities....

Four weeks with T and I have to use power tools a couple of days a week , I religiously wear full ear defenders with no adverse effect, totally reduced the sound impact even with tools that I used before that would make me shudder at the violence of the sound they would emit.
