My Time in NYC

Hello everyone!! So I am about to leave to go back to Texas from the busy city! And while it was hard for me sometimes to enjoy myself ( fear of noise) I still had a great time!

I managed after the first day to only wear my plugs when it was super loud! I had drinks ( can we say expensive) with no spike, maybe just a headache! Went to a Broadway show! Plugs in! And went on tours to the Empire State Building!

The biggest thing was did I get proposed to? The answer is... YES!!! I'm so happy right now!! I didn't even think about my T!!! He did it in Central Park! This just shows me I can still have a life outside of T! I will just take caution but it will not ruin me!!!

Jamie, not trying to hijack your thread (especially with your good news!), but how did the T react overall in NYC? I never had a T problem living there for 12 years - ever; even in the most quiet, still places. Ears never bothered me with the traffic, sirens, subways, general noise... I moved about a month ago, and just a couple of weeks ago, the T started happening.

@Scarlet my ears have been fine today. I wore ear plugs walking in Times Square, Hard Rock Cafe ( music was toooo loud) and church. But overall fine, I think I didn't need to wear the ear plugs as much as I did but I was just nervous. The only night that was bad was after I had a huge drink and I had a headache but it wasn't the ringing.

@LadyDi well he was so cute, he knows I'm obsessed with the show friends so while we were walking he was like hey I think the fountain from the friends intro is in Central Park and I was thinking to myself I don't think so! Haha anyways he took me there and for like 45 mins we talked ( I think he wa nervous ) and then he finally got the courage and he did it!! He had his best friend come up and capture photos! Made me care less about my T

Thank you everyone!! My T is the same after a fun busy weekend! The only bad thing was within the first 30 mins after getting off plane I had a huge 60 seconds spike that I could hear outside. Freaked me out but then it stopped! But I'm okay today!
