My Tinnitus Is Gone! I Had It Since 2015 from Microsuction

Hi,

I got my tinnitus after a wax removal by microsuction on 2015... My ear was blocked with lots of wax. Since 2015 I had tinnitus in my left ear everyday... I tried acupuncture without success and I went to doctors and they told me that I will have to learn to live with it... I was 35 at the time and it was difficult to accept but I did... I continued my life and I get used to it... Some days my tinnitus got worse and I felt no hope but I kept living and tried to ignore it...

I don't know what happened but out of the blue my tinnitus is gone... It simply disappeared... I haven't had it for almost 3 months now... It is a miracle! I didn't take any vitamins, nothing... I don't know what happened but I hope my tinnitus doesn't return...

Keep the faith. Your tinnitus may go away like mine... It happens!

Can you hear no tinnitus at all or very very low?

 

My T is totally gone.

 

Did it just completely disappear one day or slowly over time?

If it was sudden disappearance, do you remember doing anything different that day?

 

It suddenly disappeared. I remember waking up one day with no tinnitus and it was very strange because I had gotten used to it. The silence felt very strange... I didn't do anything at all... It was a normal day...

 

I could only wish.

Was your tinnitus somatic at all? Could you make it louder by moving your neck or jaw?

 

Can you hear it when you wear earplugs in a quiet room?

 

If I moved my head sometimes it stopped for some seconds... I never knew why I got T... I just know it started after I had wax removal by microsuction... the doctors I went only make me some tests to see if I had hearing lost and I haven't.. they just said that I needed to live with it and I never went to the doctor again....

 

No, it is completely gone... I still wear earplugs if I go to a lowder place just in case...

Yes I had it in the ear not in the whole head. It is very localised in the hear.

I just want to give everyone some hope... I had had tinnitus for 5 years and all of a sudden it disappeared... and it's been 3 months... It may come back, I don't know, but at least I would have had some time without it... I never thought it would go away... but it happened... I work at a radio station, I love music, I go to a lots of concerts, and now I am able to listen to my music without tinnitus. It's wonderful! I cry of joy!

Congrats!!! Since microsuction caused the tinnitus, it must have something to do with your ear drum. Perhaps it finally healed the right way.

It appeared to you for the same reason as to me and we have been the same time (5 years) but in my case the sound did not go off.

Did you have a pure tone or was it more like electricity? (mine is like electric)

I will have to show this to my ENT. I refused to have it done once, and he said you are silly, millions of people have microsuction every year and nothing happens to them. I said I preferred to have it done manually.
