What's the difference between noise-induced tinnitus and tinnitus due to age related hearing loss?

Or is it just the same?

I don't know about tinnitus, but noise induced hearing loss and age related hearing loss have different patterns.

They are two different things although both are still defined as tinnitus. Please click on the links below for information about age related hearing loss and hearing aids. Although I know about it I mostly deal with "noise induced tinnitus" Please also click on the link below to read my article: Tinnitus A Personal View.

Pitch wise they're very much similar. The main difference I believe is noise pitch tends to be unilateral or unilaterally stronger. Age related tends to be bilateral.

Probably, i also know of people who have a greatly reduced level of T when wearing h-aids, i think you need to have T in the frequency bandwidth of the aids for them to help though.
