Can anyone see what brand of vitamin D3 is in the second video? (He shows the bottle at the 4:00 minute mark.)

The approach in video #2 is interesting.

Vitamins D3 and B12 are often suggested to multiple sclerosis patients for rebuilding the damaged myelin sheath around nerves (which usually takes time). Yet this person claims he had relatively quick relief. Possibly, the dosage of vitamin D3 his doctor recommended is a factor? This is *much higher* than most recommendations.

Interestingly, I recently talked to a medical doctor about tinnitus, and the first thing he mentioned was vitamin D.

This is so so interesting, and he speaks well and clearly. Seems to make perfect sense but then so do most scientists.
It highlights how complex this T thing is and how far away an effective 'cure' might be.
His extensive research suggests you may be able to basically learn how to ignore your T - if your so disposed or lucky !
All drugs and hearing maskers will probably have little if any effect - unless your very lucky. This is even despite a clear lack of GABA ( to suppress an excited brain ) in T patients
One thing I don't understand or dosent correlate is how he was able to give himself T ( which he didn't have before ) by doing jaw exercises. He seems to suggest this T hasnt gone.
This thing T is fascinating....but thinking about it makes it more apparent.
Off to ask the doctor for a partial brain lobotomy in the area he highlights...Im sure he will say yes. What could go wrong!:p:D:eek::ROFL::bored:

Yes, the video with the guy talking about D3 vitamin is interesting indeed. I would like to try this method, but with a quick search here on TT I found that there's people who has experienced spikes after taking D3 (which is strange???) I'm already taking a small amount every day, and going to ask my ENT for advice.

Really ? Did not know that , maybe that is why my T has been incredibly horrible the last few weeks ?

I don't know what to believe. People seem to get spikes from breathing. I just find it strange that D3 would cause someone's T to spike, since it's important for nerve healing. But who knows?

      Actually, that's true.

People with central gain problems (in which severe tinnitus and hyperacusis come and go) will tell you that when the gain is turned way up, they can hear everything that's going on in their hearing system--including an orchestra of tinnitus going all over the place from minute to minute. And they notice that many body functions and movements can affect it, including breathing.

Yet when their central gain normalizes again, some can't hear the tinnitus sounds *at all*. This seems to support the theory that there may be a lot going on in normal hearing systems all the time that most people can't hear.

Many people on this forum fall toward the extreme end of the scale, and they can hear much of what's going on in their hearing systems. So they connect the jelly donut or the most recent event to the rise or fall in tinnitus, when it may have had nothing to do with it at all.

      RaZaH,

      See articles above.

Is it possible that by taking heroic dosages of vitamin d, one might be forcing a magnesium deficiency, which could affect the ears?

      "...Magnesium and Vitamin D
should be taken together in order to avoid vitamin D side effects and to maximize absorption of both nutrients. Nutrients don't work alone, and when it comes to taking vitamin D, it's important that you take magnesium and vitamin D together and not JUST vitamin d alone in large doses as this can lead to what people BELIEVE are vitamin d side effects, but are really just magnesium deficiency symptoms that have been induced because of how vitamin D 'uses up' magnesium in its conversion to its 'active form' in the bloodstream from supplements and sunlight."...

...Unlike drugs, nutrients are 'synergistic' and interconnected with each other. Especially in the case of Magnesium and Vitamin D it's EXTREMELY important that you take magnesium and vitamin D TOGETHER when you are taking vitamin D in order to prevent these problems..."

      You fooled me.

I thought you were going to say that after reading the above articles, you'd increase your magnesium intake to quickly balance things out.

Keep us posted on what happens. With the amount of vitamin D you've been taking, flushing it out of your system should only take a couple of years.:)

Are you talking about Vit D? If so you can simply do a blood test to measure your level - it'll tell you if you are within normal range or too high (which is what you are worried about I guess?)
If you're going to draw blood, you can also ask for Magnesium levels.
