Tapped My Ears While Applying Face Lotion → Tinnitus Worse → Prednisone?

I’ve been in the middle of a tinnitus spike for the past 10 days or so... This morning I felt like it was finally going away. When I was applying some face lotion, I put too much on my hands, and so I tapped it all over the place before I spread it in. I ended up tapping both my ears. Now my left ear is oscillating again.

Prednisone?!?

 

How 'bout shooting yourself up with intravenous Prednisone while going for a dive in an HBOT chamber? Take some high dose NAC orally while you're at it.

Maybe that's overkill. I would wait a day or two, it could be your mind playing tricks.

How hard did you "tap" your ears? Were you tapping or swatting them?

 

@dan, definitely tap > swat. But there was sun lotion on my hands making the "tap" harder. Tinnitus still seems elevated unfortunately. But not out of the ordinary elevated. I can't believe I'm even writing this. Tinnitus is unreal. Fml.
