It is not consistent, varying in pitch/frequency as well as volume, & origination/location in my head. It never goes away completely. I do have hearing aids that mask it somewhat.

I have migraines (w/ vision-component prior to pain, vertigo, & nausea) that are barometric pressure-related. Living at sea level is more painful than in mountainous areas. As I've aged, migraines are not as frequent or as debilitating, but tinnitus has worsened. (I grew up w/ parents who had complete hearing loss in 1 ear due to illness/accident, so volume was always loud.)

The primary location (& strongest/loudest) is about an inch above & behind my left ear.
My hearing loss is minimal - only a couple of the very highest tones.
