Hey. Yesterday I washed my ears with my fingers and soap after using ear plugs -> that is, I put the fingers in the channel and washed it. It's not harmful? Since there is some kind of vacuum and excess pressure on the membrane, when you move your fingers. Is it not harmful?

I guess it depends how much pressure you put on the ear drum, both when you stick your finger in your ear and when you get it out. If you are not gentle you could create a barotrauma.

The easiest way to clean your ears is to do nothing. They are self cleaning: the wax will catch debris and make its way towards the pinna so you can easily pick it up.

The only thing you should put in your ears is your elbows

If you are slow and gentle and don't force your fingers too far in, it ought to be ok.
