Maybe. I am 8 months in with Severe H. No improvement.

I am going to send these authors of this research article questions.

It is pretty much how VEMP can cause NIHL. I have damaged my right ear but I have a great audiogram there and no hearing loss, the DPOAE are normal on that ear (R ear).
Do you have H on the ear where you have hearing loss?

See I have BAD H on the right ear where the hearing is perfect and DPOAE are also perfect.
But T/H on the left ear where hearing (mild), DPOAE are not normal.

I know I cant decipher it.
Unless I damaged inner ear cells or auditory nerve fibers by that ear test.
oh how good my life was when I had mild t, can you believe it just mild t and only on one left ear. But because of my ENT and Audiologist I have T on right ear, and H on both ears, right is far worse. They didnt believe me I had acoustic trauma and still dont believe me.

Don't think on the damaged... It will improved. Like @Bill Bauer says ears take time to heal.

Can you do meditation? Are you on amy medication? Supplement?

I had four migraines which I was told was occipital neuralgia. Now I have constant ear pulsing (no sound, just feeling) and slightly stiff jaw. There’s a Facebook group called Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) UK which I have joined to see if anyone on there suffers from anything similar. Having read some of the posts I definitely think my pulsatile tinnitus is related to the trigeminal nerve.
