I developed my Tinnitus the last year.

Could you please help me to figure out what kind of Tinnitus is that?

I have it only in my right ear. It's very low noise like airplane's engine. It's more vibration than noise. It irregular and has intervals like "huuuuu...... huuuuuuuuu.... huuuu", but it's not pulsatile. It's very loud and bothering. I can't simply mask it by listening music or watching TV. Sometimes I wake up at night because of this noise in my ear. Sometimes another sound accompany my Tinnitus. This sound is like morse code ""click click click". But it's very short lasting.

I don't have any additional symptoms like dizziness or pain.

I visited 3 ENT specialists and they told me that everything is fine, however audiogram and tympanogram was slightly worse in right ear. I asked is it serious, doctor told me not at all, because my nerve is not damages. He told me maybe it's sinus problem and asked to take antihistamine spray (which doesn't help me). I read about ETD, but can ETD cause this terrible Tinnitus in my right ear?

There are some things what helps me:
      1. I don't know why, but when I am walking outside I don't hear my Tinnitus. When I come back at home, tinnitus comes back only after ~10 minutes. I don't know why does it happen, is it because street noise outside or different body posture.

      2. Very hot shower relieves my symptoms for ~10 minutes

      3. Xanax helps, maybe it's just keeps me calm but I feel that Tinnitus is not so intense as well.

      4. Sometimes it disappears with no reason, it disappeared on March and appeared only on June.

I also have allergic rhinitis and sinus problems.

well clicking is one of ETD Symptoms and I have that too
if you are getting cold Frequently that's could be it
but I can't say it's the reason of your T
another Symptom for ETD is that sometimes you feel a little pressure in your ear like your hearing goes and come
and it's happened to me many times
but what I am sure of is that " my T starts 1 day after Acoustic trauma "
I checked with many ENT doctors and I am glad My hearing was not affected
and I asked myself again is it ETD or something else ?

Thank you for your reply. Yes, it's very hard to find the cause, if it's ETD why antihistamine spray and Sudafed has no effect?
