I have tinnitus & hyperacusis due to acoustic exposure.
The high frequency of my right ear is partially damaged.
I am considering to have a hearing aid to reduce my tinnitus & hopefully, my hyperacusis.
But, I need to have a hearing test before it can happen.

I worry that the hearing test may spike my tinnitus?
      I need advice here. Thanks!

In short, no. The whole idea is that they play sounds ranging from imperceptible to barely perceptible and record when you trigger a response. There is something called the LDL test (loudness discomfort level) which you might want to give a miss if you’re nervous about loud sounds. That’s if they offer it you of course which they likely won’t.
