For what is worth, I have been on Gabapentin for many years without any change in my tinnitus, and it has helped my anxiety. I definitely would keep the dose low, but if you are at your breaking point, a trial of it might make sense.

Severe Tinnitus Worsening During Corticosteroid Withdrawal After Long-Term Use

Just hang in there! Although I have been dealing with a recent worsening, it is likely due to a separate medical issue. I have had regular tinnitus for 14 years. The first year was rough, but over that year it both reduced significantly in volume and I got used to it. This is entirely possible...

Severe Tinnitus Worsening During Corticosteroid Withdrawal After Long-Term Use

I have been on long-term oral steroids for many years. My ear issues actually improve with steroids, but worsen when I stop taking them. I just found out today that my imaging suggests I likely have intracranial hypertension, which can apparently be helped by steroids and also caused by steroid...

New Low-Frequency Tinnitus Triggered by Movement After Health Issue

Hi @kotacash, I am dealing with the same new low-frequency sound. I have had regular high-pitched tinnitus for about 14 years. About two months ago, it spiked badly as I have been tapering off a long-term steroid. Then, a few days ago, I developed a low-pitched hum in my right ear, exactly as...

Hi Solose - Saw your username on the Wegener's forum and reference to tinnitus forum. I was curious how you are doing now, if you are willing to share? I am getting ready to start Rituxan, but that makes me super nervous about a potential impact on my ears. Of course, I am also concerned...

Lower Noise MRI — Has Anyone Used Silent Scan MRI

@AmericanJosh How are you doing post-MRI? I am in a position where I absolutely have to do a brain MRI for a serious neurological issue, but I have extremely reactive T and am very worried. I do know that although they can do most basic brain sequences with the GE Silent feature, they often do...

Hi Greg - I’m new to the forum and not sure how to send a private message. Any chance you could send me this number for the Pianissiom MRI locations? I need a Brian MRI but am very concerned about the noise impacting my tinnitus. Any help would be much appreciated!
