Tinnitus Week 2018 / Day 7: What Advice Would You Give to Someone Else Who Has Tinnitus?

I used a decibel app on my commute in my car with the radio off and I had a reading peak of 100 dB from rough areas on the freeway. The ear plugs help a lot and I can hear just fine.

Ketamine Relieves Depression by Restoring Brain Connections

I have been taking my daughter to Ketamine treatments for over a year to the Ketamine Wellness Centers in Mesa, AZ. After the initial several treatments in a 2 week period, we do one treatment a month. Ketamine treatments have been one of the only things that work for her depression. She said it...

I have been taking my daughter to Ketamine treatments for over a year. After the initial several treatments in a 2 week period, we do one treatment a month. Ketamine treatments have been one of the only things that work for her depression. She has never mentioned that she felt like she was...

Tinnitus Week 2018 / Day 4: Do You Use Apps to Manage Your Tinnitus? If So, Which Ones and Why?

I love the "Relax Melodies" app that a member recommended in a previous post. You can combine all kinds of different sounds and control the volume of each sound in the combined melody. I sleep with a "Pink Noise for Sleeping" app which is loopable. I use it more to block out sounds from the...

Tinnitus Week 2018 / Day 3: How Does Your Significant Other Help You Manage Your Tinnitus?

My husband is learning to have the TV volume down and he seems to be empathetic to my needs for things to be less loud...like being conscious of banging the dishes around while he does the dishes. He still needs to work on how loud he speaks into the phone while I'm in the same room. I love the...

Tinnitus Week 2018 / Day 2: How Do You Manage Your Sleep with Tinnitus?

I have a humidifier in my bedroom that makes a nice hum noise. Recently playing a pink noise for sleeping on low volume. Doesn't mask my T but helps with other distracting noises. Marijuana really helped me sleep great, but stopped because it might be the cause of my T? Benadryl helps me sleep...

Endocannabinoid System Possibly Linked to a Cure?

I too was taking CBD oil (for sleep) and I feel that in the time that I was taking it, around 3 weeks later, that my T became really loud in my right ear. Soooo, I don't know if it was the trigger, but I have stopped it for now. I was taking 15 drops of 100 mg CBD oil ab0ut 2x daily.

Another Day of Despair, Sadness and Misery — 2.5 Months In

I accidentally washed my ear plugs in the wash machine, guess they were in my pocket, and they turned out really clean, looked brand new! So I've thrown them right in the washer, and seems to clean them up nice. Also I just buy new ones too :)

If You Close Your Nose and Mouth and Swallow, Is the Inner Ear Pressure Even on Both Ears?

Left & Right side has no pressure. Left side no pressure, right side seems like it has more pressure after doing the swallowing with nose and mouth closed. Swallowed twice and didn’t notice a change except Right feels muffled. Right side has more high pitched sound. Left side has low, less...

    Kinda Going Crazy

Thank you Bill for the info. I've protected my ears for years, ie...wearing earplugs when drying my hair and being in loud places. I'm hoping if I wear one ear bud at a low level it won't cause any more harm. It really helps with the buzz which is driving me crazy.
