I wholeheartedly agree. My case is not as bad as a lot of people here, and my brain was able to adapt, not all brains do.
The experience I had was enough to feel empathy for everyone having this condition to any degree, and definitely much more for those having extreme cases. I know it's pure...
Yes brother, I am, in fact, better. I'm pleasantly surprised. I didn't think at ALL I'll be able to recover... I attribute it to neuroplasticity (amongst a thousand variables we might never discover). My brain eventually lowered the amount of releasing adrenaline (due to the tinnitus sound) and...
I feel you brother. Those things were really taken from you, and from us. Eventually we arrive at an understanding. Instead of "reading in a quiet room", we must now indulge in reading but never a "quiet" room anymore. Instead of "quietly watching the world go by", we must now loudly watch the...
Hi brother... I'm continuing my taper on the benzodiazepines. I'm doing just fine. The loudness of my T is the same, pretty severe, but at least not multitonal, or with hyper/nox acusis... I could be better, because I'm tired as fuck, but I'm handling it as best as I can... Thank you very much...
Hi brother,
I'd say almost all tinnitus cases are related in some way to GABA. Taking into account that Clonazepam is a PAM of GABA receptors (meaning it makes the GABA receptors work more efficiently when they coupled to the Clonazepam), that's the reason it helps you.
I take 2mg Clonazepam...
I will do when I can! That's actually interesting to be honest. Sadly, it's not legal in my country so I'd have to stick with the smoked stuff, although I'd sure give it a try if I get my hands on some.
Hi brother,
Thank you very much for your response.
Yes, I still continue to smoke in small quantities though I haven't gauged exactly how much. I do 4 tokes every night, but today I did them already and it's still afternoon. I've been having very busy days at work and they've been stressing...
Hi everybody,
Has anybody tried Muscimol for tinnitus? I'm wondering since it's a GABA-A agonist, if it could help reduce the loudness of it, at least in small doses.
Thank you and all the best.
Thank you very much brother.
I appreciate your response.
I don't think I'll be able to ween off of them in such a short timeline, since my sleep was basically destroyed by my cannabis withdrawal, but maybe on a longer timeline, I will.
All the best to you.
Hi Oscar,
I appreciate your optimistic approach. I actually can't listen to it in the shower. I think the tinnitus is loud enough to not let me sleep or rest, which in itself is a huge problem, but I also have loads of GABA issues due to my withdrawals (from cannabis and benzos), so the...
Hi @yeezysqueezy.
So yesterday, I continued the taper. I tapered the Alprazolam from 0.625 mg to 0.5 mg. It was a rough night. I didn't sleep well at all. I'll see until when I can prolong this and I hope my brain can adapt and heal at every step I go. But it feels unlikely.
Anyhow, I need to...
Hi Maria, how are you doing nowadays?
I'm tapering off 2 mg Klonopin and 1 mg Xanax in order to hopefully turn down the volume of my tinnitus and I hope I can get it to be like your experience. I know I will have to wait some time (months or years) until my GABA-A receptors return back to...
