Deaf as a result of HIB meningitis when I was 2. Have bilateral cochlear implants (as of Oct. 2014), and still experiencing tinnitus with the right ear. Tinnitus in right ear for as long as I can remember, none in left ear since it was a "dead" ear (profoundly deaf) before implantation.
