I had a very faint ring going back in my 30s, 58 now. Due to some loud music exposure as an usher at a music venue. The tinnitus was faint and stable for decades. But then, 7 days after the Moderna vax, I awoke in the middle of the night with terrible pain in left ear and was nearly completely deaf in that ear. I rove to the Mayo Clinic ENT department for nearly every test they had. Sudden nerve damage brought on by auto immune and inflammation; nothing they could. The hearing has mostly (75%) returned but not all frequencies of course. But the worst is the remaining tinnitus now. Its loud, changes tone , etc. MAYO told me the pain was from never death, same as when a tooth verve dies there's pain. With each bout of pain and fullness, the tone and ringing worsens.
