    Brain Zaps When Lying Down

Hi, I think it may have been part of my hyperacusis that I suffered at the time from. It is much better now and I rarely have the zaps anymore.

YouTube Neck Stretching & Tapping for Tinnitus Relief: Valid or Snake Oil?

I’ve never tried the exercises on YouTube but I do find when I’m in bed, lie on my right side and stretch my neck away from my shoulder, then I can eliminate my tinnitus altogether. Until I have to change position that is.

Low Bass-Like Hum, As If Something Was Vibrating Inside My Ear: Is This Tinnitus or Something Worse?

@Pulsing Ear Totally independent, sometimes it feels as if my head is vibrating as well. @Greg Sacramento That’s interesting, last time I got my glucose level tested (checked when I first got tinnitus) it was slightly raised but a 2nd test showed normal, however I did have low level B12 and...

Low Bass-Like Hum, As If Something Was Vibrating Inside My Ear: Is This Tinnitus or Something Worse?

Reading this thread with interest . I also have the ‘hum’ in my left ear, have had it since the beginning 17 months ago. I tend to find mine reacts to salt/sugar intake but not caffeine. Whenever I have physical exertion, then the hum changes to a revving sound going up and down. Blood...

A Drone/Buzz Noise Goes Up and Down in Sync with My Breathing — Is It Pulsatile Tinnitus?

Hi @Zigs Nope, still the same I’m afraid, changes from buzz to drone to a Didgeridoo sound lol. Strange thing is that sometimes it just disappears completely for a few minutes but always comes back. You are absolutely right. It is challenging as it can be hard to mask at times. I’ve become...

Tinnitus from Violence: Roommatte Boiled Water and Poured It in My Right Ear Canal

WTF is happening in this world when someone thinks it’s a JOKE to put boiling water in your ear. Really hope you recover from this and your FRIEND suffers mentally and physically for the pain he’s caused. Seriously don’t know what to say to this...

    Head Hissing Tinnitus Potentially Somatic?

Hi @Ashley Ann, Goimg private can be pricey, I am lucky that I’m covered by my employers so only pay a small percentage of my bill and that’s the only reason I used BUPA on this occasion. Strangely though when I first presented with tinnitus I was feeling lightheaded as well, GP thought may...

    Head Hissing Tinnitus Potentially Somatic?

Hi @Michael Leigh I originally presented to my GP with lightheadedness and tinnitus and she thought could be Ménières so was referred to ENT however a few weeks later I took an anxiety attack and ended up in A&E where my blood pressure was off the chart, the doctor checked the system and...

    Head Hissing Tinnitus Potentially Somatic?

Hi @Ashley Ann, Your tinnitus sounds very much like mine, I can turn mine off or decrease the sound by turning my neck a certain way, I have a low buzz/whine in my left ear which I’ve had for just over a year, there’s also a very quiet high pitch which is intermittent. Like yourself I live in...

Poll: Does Your Tinnitus Spike During Thunderstorms?

@Foamearplugssuck Thanks for your reply. Funny you mention headaches because I woke up with a severe pain behind my right eye which wouldn’t shift, I’ve never had a migraine (that I know of) and just put this down to hormonal changes but now... I wonder. Denise c

Poll: Does Your Tinnitus Spike During Thunderstorms?

Anyone find that a thunderstorm increases their tinnitus? We had one last night for about an hour and my left ear was whining like mad as if it was in competition to see who could get louder. The tinnitus calmed down after the thunderstorm passed but this got me thinking was it caused by the...

Almost 4 Years of Unilateral Rumbling

Hi @Purva Sorry I didn’t get the report from my MRI and didn’t know I could ask for it. I live in the U.K. but went private when I got tinnitus as there were a couple of other issues as well. I received a letter from the private hospital which was also given to my GP and this was where it...

Almost 4 Years of Unilateral Rumbling

Hi @Purva, No I didn't ask him if this could change in the future because I don't think anyone can predict that. If you're asking is there a possibility that things could get worse the the answer is probably yes but life is a risk every time you walk out the door. Like you my vascular loop...

Almost 4 Years of Unilateral Rumbling

Hi @Purva, No one can answer that question with certainty but as I’ve mentioned previously I posted this question to Dr. Nagler in the Doctors' Corner here and he seemed to think it was pretty normal to have a vascular loop anywhere in the body and not necessarily dangerous. You seem to be...
