Yes, it's insane indeed. It's difficult to distinguish between protecting, getting a real spike or just a spike based on pure fear. I hope to learn to cope better soon.

Can anyone figure out how much the sound was increased in the cups of the earmuffs? I guess the slamming door was 92 dB. But how much louder did it become due to the earmuffs? This is so bad.
