Hearing Loss After 2 Grams of Amoxicillin? — Urgent Help Needed Please

Yes my hearing loss is negligible, however what worries me is the acute decrease in hearing by 1khz in the left ear. App may be inaccurate to measure exact frequency, however should be accurate enough to show difference between left and right. I have tested with several other frequency tools...

Hearing Loss After 2 Grams of Amoxicillin? — Urgent Help Needed Please

Thanks for the info and support. The dental work was a tooth inplant, on the right upper side. Major work however did not involve any loud drilling. No inflamation as far as I am aware of. Wondered if it could be Corona, however I have no symptoms. TMJ; yes could be the reason for increased...

Hearing Loss After 2 Grams of Amoxicillin? — Urgent Help Needed Please

Hi all. Two and a half years in, got tinnitus after shooting range incident and/or stress, exact cause unknown. Slight hearing loss both sides, 20 dB at 8 kHz in right ear, 25 dB at 8 kHz in left ear. Could hear both sides up to 10500 Hz, in mobile app. Could hear cicadas both ears. Happy with...

    My Tinnitus — Final Chapter

Many thanks for the positive post Dmitriy. When did you notice it started to fade? Also I wonder how old you are? At a younger age it seems it can get better more quickly than when one is older.

    Your Thoughts on Motorcycles

I've been riding motorbikes for some 40 years now (not Harleys). The loud pipes are a Harley tribal thing. The original quiet mufflers are thrown in the bin and they fit some nasty low-quality open systems instead. They think it's cool and antisocial, and they love to pretend to be antisocial...

    Life Stories

Today I had a chat with a co-worker, and he told me that he had T some 3-4 years back, and that it went away. I have worked with him for quite some years and didn't have a clue. I remember he was away from work for some months, but didn't know why. He said it was induced by medication, and that...

Liam Boehm — A Scammer or What?

Hi all. I see that this guy has put out a lot of YouTube videos lately, where he claims that he has a recipe for making tinnitus better or to cure it. Not a lot of substance in his videos nor on his website, however it seems to consist mainly of fasting and diets. He claims he has 'cured' some...

Level Scale of Tinnitus — How Is It Measured?

Hi all. I see often that people here refer to their tinnitus as 'level 2', or 5, or 9. I find it difficult to relate to. Zero is obvious, but what is a 1, and what is a 10 then? How do I tell what level my tinnitus is, if someone should ask?

    Why Advise Against Headphones?

Whenever I use my headphones it's always on low volume.

    Why Advise Against Headphones?

I read on this forum that some people advise against using headphones, even at low volume. I cannot understand why. If the volume is low, how could it be a problem? I work in a noisy office environment and have to use headphones to be able to concentrate. Also I use them for masking my tinnitus.

Cicadas Cured My Tinnitus — Temporarily

Hi all fellow TT members. I went to southern Italy for two weeks, and boy was that a relief :). I got some time off work, and there are a lot more noises outdoors in Italy than up here in northern Europe. The sounds of the sea and the cicadas were very soothing, to the point that I almost could...

Onset of Tinnitus After Using Noise Cancelling Headphones

Could it be the noise cancelling headphones are more quiet than ordinary ones, and that some people notice a T that was there previously but was masked by background noise?

    Best Earplugs?

I have been using the Quies Natural Earplugs for 20+ years. They offer up to 27db protection and do not expand and hurt inside the ear canal like foam plugs do.

    Health Risks to Avoid/Prevent

Take care of your teeth as well. In the Victorian era decaying teeth was a major health risk. I read somewhere that at was considered the #3 cause of death in that period. Dental infections can go unnoticed and can spread to other parts of the body. Dental work could also cause or worsen...

    Health Risks to Avoid/Prevent

Back to topic: Take care of your lungs. They have the largest surface area of your body. Don't breathe in quartz dust, road pollution, tobacco or weed smoke, gasoline vapours, thinners, metal dust from grinding. Gasoline and thinners are cancerogens. Road dust, if it is fine enough, will enter...
