I have exactly the same thoughts as you. I got mine from playing drums for fun one night, and I am not even a musician. It was only the second time in my life that I ever played live with other people. I even helped organize that night by looking for people online.

I am sorry for your condition, but it makes no sense to come to the Support section and tell sufferers, “THERE IS NO HOPE.” That is exactly the kind of doom-and-gloom post we should all avoid, especially in the Support section.
So, you were injured in 2019. It took about a year before you noticed some improvements, then another three years for it to almost completely fade away. However, you still had hyperacusis, which took another year to resolve. Correct?
@billie48, how long did it take before your original tinnitus showed signs of improvement, and how long before it disappeared? I cannot figure that out from your original post.
