Be kind to yourself. Flare ups will happen and no doubt the tinnitus will settle down again in time. Consider using a volume control setting to limit the max volume on your device.
I have taken Nexium (PPI) as well as Pepcid for many years without any effect on my tinnitus. However, even if the meds cause a spike, it should subside soon after discontinuance.
