    New to Group

Sleep time is always an issue. I sleep with a window open, to let both fresh air in but also, "outside noise" ..."in". the outside noise can help, as it gives your mind something else to listen to and concentrate on, lessening the T noise from inside so to speak. When all is quiet, then your T...

    A Silver Lining

enclosed spaces, especially if quiet, can allow you to hear your "T" more, whereas outside there is a lot more background noise for your ears to retune in to....have you tried some low volume music, or opening a window in these rooms to allow outside noise in for example?

    Fluctuating Tone and Volume

But find having background music, helps as it gives my muddled brain something else to tune in to, so rather than listen to internal things, it helps with music in background, even if its just a portable...

New to Tinnitus, Ultra-High and Finding It Unbearable

I too only get a high pitched noise in both ears.but after having mine checked by my local hospital, they are currently making some small ear pieces for me to help combat this. In the meantime i do find that having some "background" noise [ie music] , helps kill the quietness and stops me from...

    Fluctuating Tone and Volume

I have to say mine tends to be more of a constant volume, only occaisionally goes quieter....but never going away fully. I did have a couple of occaisions over the christmas period where the actual "tone" of mine dropped....but at the same time, my actual hearing reduced with it too...only for...
