    Holy Cow, Today Was Bad

Agreed. I went to the tinnitus clinic in London. It wasn't a miracle cure but it made the T bearable. Years after my quitting my meds my T has reuced greatly on its own so I am lucky.

    Scared

Sarah, after reading this thread it seems to me most likely your meds caused the T. Withdrawal from meds caused T for me. I have heard a acutane is a heavy duty med with gnarly side effects. Which is why I never tried it when my acne was really bad. Maybe try something else for the acne. One...

    Holy Cow, Today Was Bad

I use noise box app iphone purple noise at night. The best thing about it you can match the frequency. For during the day I used in ear hearing aid maskers. Cost a fortune at $5000 , but life saver.

    Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

Be careful with klonopin!!! I took it for years for anxiety and I became very addicted. I was on a high dose and I went cold turkey in rehab. That is when my tinnitus started. I later read about benzodiazepine retracted withdrawal syndrome and tinnitus is one of the symptoms due to altering of...

Does Anyone Have Experience with General Hearing Aids/Tranquil & TRT?

I had to wear in ear maskers for about 9 months until my T got better. While wearing it my anxiety went down as it was less annoying to listen to a steady static sound than the warble sounds of T. Good luck with your trt. If you stick with it it works.

Another Benzo Withdrawal Thread — Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

Thank you for best wishes. You talk about stress. I think reducing anxiety and stress is the most important thing when it comes to T. Once the limbic system gets involved the T becomes ingrained in the brain and it gets worse from there. Sound therapy has helped me alot. Do you use masking...

Another Benzo Withdrawal Thread — Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

The ashton manual discusses the terrible protracted withdrawal symptoms one can experience when discontinuing benzo's. My T started after going cood turkey in rehab for klonopin. The T lasted for a year and is now almost gone. I also suffered from massive anxiety, but this will pass. Getting of...

    The Positivity Thread

I can positively say that my T has virtually dissapeared. I wanted to share this news as I read many comments here on TT by ppl who have a permanent case of T or who fear their T may be permanent. It does not have to be permanent in all cases. In my case T lasted for one year after a stint in...

    Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

That is a very small dose. Why not try cutting it in half and take that for a while before stopping it completely. The longer you use klonopin the more tolerance you develop and you will need more to achieve the same effect. Good luck

    Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

Just google benzo protracted withdrawal syndrome. One of the symptoms is T. I took 3 mg a day for 8 years but then i started abusing it for two years. Going of it cold turkey most likely made the withdrawal worse. If you want to get of benzos you should taper very slowy.

    Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

I went to a rehab to detox from klonopin. Withdrawal was hell and after almost a year I still have protracted withdrawal symptoms, the most nasty one being T. They say heroin is out of your system in a week and you are done. Just because benzos are legal and heroin isnt doesnt mean anything. Big...

    I HATE MY ENTs

The ent I saw first told me to live with it. The audiologist I saw second was even more cruel. After I expressed my distress to her she told me people cut off their ears or kill themselves over T. She had no emotion. Needless to say I left her office crying. There are so many s**t doctors out there.

    Help Needed, I'm Freaking Out

Yes it could very well be temporary. Prednisone and the supplement NAC can help in the early phases of T onset. But you have to act fast.

Does Anyone Have Experience with General Hearing Aids/Tranquil & TRT?

I do not have hearing loss. I got the hearing aids solely as a masking device. My T is in the 6-8 khz range. Yours is much higher and I dont know if it can be masked. find a clinic where they offer tinnitus treatment. Random ENT and audiologists will tell you to just learn to live with it.

Does Anyone Have Experience with General Hearing Aids/Tranquil & TRT?

Yes i have used hearing aids as masking devices for the last 6 months and it has helped me a lot. The volume has gone down a lot and i get relief while wearing them. It is more calming to listen to a constant broad white noise static than my T tone. I recommend it.
