I've had tinnitus since the '80's. I also have a low frequency hearing loss in my right ear and a severe low frequency hearing loss in my left ear. I have been a mechanic since I was in my teens and spent 23 1/2 years in the Navy as an engineer on surface ships. I worked on just about anything mechanical including diesels, AC&R plants, hydraulic systems, etc. I have a constant ringing that often changes pitch, but never goes away.
