Diagnosed with Meniere's Disease in September, 2017.
I have not had vertigo yet, but bad tinnitus started about 2 weeks ago. Sound and intensity vary. It's worse at night. Feeling sad and desperate at times.
Salt seems to make it worse. I've cut all sodium from my diet and currently only eat fruit and veggies. I've also cut all caffeine and alcohol.
Going for a 2nd opinion in two weeks, but I feel the original diagnosis was correct.
I've heard from friends that surgery for Menieres Disease can alleviate the tinnitus, but i'm not sure.
I'm praying that this is true, or that the tinnitus subsides.
In the meantime i'm just trying to maintain my job and live day to day.
Thank you for the excellent forum that I found here.
