i use my speaker phone almost exclusively. and i have no idea what ear i used when i had a rotary phone but it's most likely both. phones make my ears hot which annoys me so i remember switching back and forth between ears.
my guess...i think we are all simply hoping they make it through clinical trials with some level of success in restoring hearing. if your T is related to hearing loss, then restoring hearing on some level may help with your T. it won't help everyone but it may help some of us.
my summer relief...
thanks for the info as i was genuinely curious about this. this definitely increases my optimism if they can restore or improve my hearing loss at 8k hertz and above, it could effectively reduce or eliminate my t since i believe it's related to my hearing loss at those freqs. this thread is the...
No idea. Most everyone on here I've seen comment said that's what should happen when you put on ear muffs or ear plugs with T.
I am however in a minority or a unique case where ear muffs completely get rid of my T. I'm still searching for an answer as well but believe mine is related to high...
so how would this relate to me where my T basically goes to a zero by wearing protective ear muffs? i have hearing loss at 8k hertz and above and none below. my T is mild but i feel its related to my hearing.
well i listened to loud music back in the 90s in college and i have measurable hearing loss at 8k hertz and above. i can also silence my T completely by covering my ears. i have a separate thread about that hoping to find anyone who can relate as i figured it was common.
when they shaved it off, it wasn't bad. when i came back for stitches, being poked to numb the procedure wasn't fun since they stuck me 8 or so times in a circle around the area. i couldn't feel anything from the procedure. after the novocaine wore off the later, i was sore for a few days. the...
I had 2 moles removed late last summer/early fall. One was a basel cancer mole. They gave me a one week antibiotic named cipro. I don't think it's related but my tinnitus started a couple months after but I believe its stress induced.
Internet trolls, we don't need them. :troll: More importantly, we don't need the negativity. The human body is a complex machine. Curing hearing loss isn't a question of IF but WHEN.
I don't know if its pressure related or not.
ENT #1 said he thought it was stress related but asked if I could also hear my heartbeat which I cannot. He said I have excellent hearing (and better than normal for frequencies below 8k) but moderate to severe loss at 8k hertz.
ENT #2 said he...
I tried ear plugs and didn't like them. If I place ear muffs like the ones in this picture on my head, my T goes away almost completely while they are on me. Take them off and the T returns.
