Hi @Notreve7766, what SSRI are you taking, and at what dosage? I think it’s time for me to try something to help alleviate my anxiety related to my tinnitus and hyperacusis. I’m sure the anxiety is making things worse, but I’m so afraid of my tinnitus getting louder.

Hi! Yes, I’ve experienced the same thing several times. It literally feels like I go deaf, and then the high-pitched ringing starts. Even though it goes away quickly, it still scares me. I’m not sure why it happens—I just can’t quite wrap my head around it.
