Tinnitus Worse After Attending a Concert with Hearing Protection

I didn’t consider that, since it had always been fine before with foam earplugs. It might have helped, but I can’t know for sure. No concert is worth it though. I would have been just as happy watching it at home, where I can control the volume. Lesson learned, I guess!

Back After Seven Years: Struggling with a Three-Week Tinnitus Spike and Looking for Motivation

I hope it’s gotten better for you. I didn’t imagine myself being back here either, since I was doing well, but I went to a concert a couple of days ago with good foam earplugs and I’m having a pretty bad setback right now. Hopefully, it will get better in the coming weeks and months.

Sound Annoyance and Worse Tinnitus After Out in a Loud Venue (Measured at 97 dB) for One Hour

I know the feeling. I went to a concert a couple of days ago with proper foam earplugs rated at NRR 33 and SNR 38, and I’m still having a massive spike. I’ve been to social events, clubs, pubs, and even one concert before with similar plugs, and those never affected my tinnitus. But this time...

Tinnitus from a Very Loud 3-Hour Concert

I think this is mostly because hearing tests usually stop at 8 kHz, and a lot of tinnitus likely occurs above that range.

Is Going to a Beyonce Concert with Tinnitus Safe or Stupid?

I went to a concert a couple of days ago and used foam earplugs with an NRR of 33 and an SNR of 38, but the concert left me with a massive spike and I feel awful. My hearing seems to be the same as before, but I’ve become more sensitive to sounds again, and my right ear is ringing a lot with a...

Struggling with Tinnitus and Hyperacusis: Why Are Audiologists So Misinformed?

I definitely think that 75 to 85 dB after reduction can cause a spike or problems. I went to a concert the other day, and I’m having an awful spike right now, even after using ear protection that should have reduced the sound to about those levels. I’ve done that before without issues, but this...

Tinnitus Worse After Attending a Concert with Hearing Protection

I’m going through the same thing right now. I’ve had tinnitus for 16 years, and I’ve never had any problems when wearing earplugs. But I went to a concert two days ago, put in my earplugs like I normally do, and the noise level felt fine with them in. Now my tinnitus is worse, and I’m so worried...

Repeated Modified Nerve Blocks and Auditory and Non-Auditory Nerve Stimulation

This looks very promising. If it keeps showing the same success I might just go to Korea also :)

Commuting (by Train) with Tinnitus — How to Avoid Spikes?

You can try wearing earplugs instead, get a pair that you can re-use every time you travel. Works pretty good for me at least.

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Tinnitus — Long-Lasting Everyday Home-Practiced Experiences

After the spike in T it's finally been going down to about normal levels again after two weeks. I do feel that my H may have gotten slightly better, lets hope so! I think I'm going to wait another week or two before i use the lasers again, hopefully the spike wont be as bad next time. :)
