I started hearing a rattling/vibration noise (like the sound a blown car speaker makes) in July of 2017. It was after a long flight. My ear hurt somewhat and I went to the doctor. She treated me for an ear infection but the noise got worse instead of better. I even went to the dentist thinking I might of had a loose filling causing it, but no. After finishing the antibiotics the pain went away but not the vibration/rattling. My doctor sent me to an ENT doctor and after all the tests were done I was told I have tinnitus and it is permanent and could not be cured or treated. I got a second opinion and was told same thing. I only really have it when I talk or am exposed to loudish noises? A quiet room is really the only thing that helps with this. If I speak in a very soft voice it's not as bad, same if the tv or music or whatever isn't very loud. Very frustrating and joined this forum looking for help. Hopeful.
