I'm a wife, mother and a grandmother and have always felt very blessed with my life and my family. I am retired, and live with my husband in upstate N.Y. and travel south in the winter. I do volunteer work in the art-history field and am busy with family and friends. Dealing with tinnitus and imbalance from vestibular damage has been difficult and isolating. I'm still trying to get a handle on "the new me".
I'm anxious for clinical trials to come up with some answers to treat these ailments so those of us dealing with this awful issue can get on with a quiet, fulfilling life.
