Have been hard of hearing since my twenties. tinnitus began with my perception of hearing loss. I recall shooting a .22 calibre pistol in my youth (age ten and above) It caused severe ear pain and tinnitus which persisted for days after a shooting match. I have worn hearing aids for four decades and had one unsuccessful trial with maskers. I have experimented with notch therapy on and off for several years with mixed results. I started with Tinnitus Tamer several weeks ago, felt some changes happening, and was surprised when the site was taken down. I am also using Tinnitus Sound Therapy with a 5.5K notch.
