Hi

I have suffered from tinnitus since 1990 and up until three years ago had completely habituated to it. I had been through an extremely very stressful time at work and the noise returned in right ear first very shrill high pitch and now three years later in both ears but cyclical and seems to be related to sleep. I have been on the site many times and a lot of the posts could have been written by ME! the sleep pattern, the waking, the napping (darent do it) every three days two good days one really bad or possibly two really bad. The terrible fear that this might be the last time I have any peace. I bless the couple of days I do not hear it and I mean it totally goes not just quiet but disappears. Then I go to bed go to sleep wake up and its back. If I wake up with it loud it says loud getting louder if I wake up and it soft it stays soft. I too have tried keeping diary but cannot correlate. I have a really bad neck C2/3 4/5 6/7 with spondylitis my lower back is also affected. I suffer with anxiety and wonder and wonder if its anything to do with my neck when sleep or what. I have never been to loud concerts I have very slight hearing loss in right ear but it is very slight not enough to use hearing aid. I take diazepam for my neck spasms and also for the anxiety. This enables me to sleep.

Hope this is interesting sounds boring doesn't it? I am signing up today because my T is really loud today and driving me mad and I am due to go out tomorrow for the day and I am terrified that I wont get a "normal quiet day"!! Stupid

Thanks
